A young boy dares to go scuba diving, which poses a problem for Coralia and Coralette, the fairies in charge of the annual birth celebration of the coral, when the sea is filled with ‘thousands of tiny lights’. In the story we meet a threatening tiger shark, a giant spotted cod and a sleepy moray eel.

The story is told in five short chapters, specially designed for reading aloud. These fairy books from Greater Glider are in heriatge style - little hardbacks with colourful dustjackets and illustrations in line drawings and five detailed full colour paintings ‘tipped-in’ in the style of the 1920s.
